I don't know if any of you went shopping on "Black Friday" as it's called. I'm grateful I didn't, given the fact that Thanksgiving should be a time to spend with family and create worthwhile memories (outside of shopping).

Besides, do you know that you can get almost everything on sale anyways online. Isn't the 21st century great!

A little background on me..... I'm the mother of four children as I mentioned in my earlier post. My oldest being 5 and my youngest being 10 months. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have such wonderful children (difficult days we can address in a future post)

After I had my first child I never returned to the work force, but decided to embrace a career as a professional Mom. It has been very rewarding and I wouldn't consider it any other way. I love my work.

I always wanted to do some type of work from home, but didn't know where to turn. In particular I wanted to start my own business in something. I did some research on the Internet, but it seemed impossible to sort through which opportunities were legitimate and offered the most promise.

Then it happened. I'm sure you heard of the old adage "People sell to People." And that's exactly what happened. It's hard to beat a personal reference in any market.

My hope is that this blog will serve to establish trust between you the reader and it's author. Certainly it's not quite as advantageous as talking face to face, but is a much better alternative than going to Google, typing in some keywords, and picking through a host of websites, that often times come across more as spam more than anything else.

"I Need More Time"

Every Mom can tell you first hand the experience of having too day and not enough time. That's why you need to consider when starting a business a business model that is going to be condusive with the average schedule of a busy Mom.

Network marketing is a great alternative for any Mom, because as a business owner you are able to leverage time in a way that you couldn't with a traditional business model. I'm sure some know or know of many woman who make significant income, but only put in 15 - 25 hours of work into their business.

Woman on a Mission

My personal mission is to help woman everywhere, no matter what your background, origin or culture to lead a fulfilling life that can come with working from home. Most woman fall into one of two categories. Many woman I speak with have sacrificed a career to experience the joy of raising their children from home. For them it's a small sacrifice but it's effect is especially felt in a household income.

You can have another class of woman who want the career, the corner office, and the status that comes with job. Or maybe they are in a household that needs her to financially contribute to.

Either way, both groups of woman are subject to choosing one over the other. And that simply does not have to be the case. You can do both! Isn't that exciting. You just need to find the right opportunity. Don't give up!!! It's out there.

Juggling children, household appliances, and dreams

It's been said before that it is nearly impossible to manage a succesful business and a sucessful home life. But I say it can be done. However a couple of key things need to be in place.

First, don't underestimate the power of focus. You would be surprised how much you can accomplish with focus and a few clearly defined goals. That's partly why I insist Moms looking to start home businesses to create and define a personal vision. Reason being, once you are clearly honed in on a mission for your life, it is difficult to stray from that path.

Of course, on a practical level you need to make sure you are on the same page with your spouse. There ain't no mountain high to climb if you can work together with your husband. This not only provides the motivation and focus you need yourself, but a relationship that's built on trust and commitment.

I think the most important factor to consider when researching Jobs for stay at home Moms is having a personal vision for what you want out of your life. In other words a personal vision for where you want to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years or starting today.

The "Want" or your desire and motivation in life is driven by your "Why?" Your why questions should touch about the deep fundamental parts of your life. If you short circuit this part of the process you are doomed to run a business of failure or mediocrity at best. It's important that you nail this step down.

I would recommend spending as much time as you need. You want to take this exercise seriously because it will provide the foundation to build a business worth building.

You should also write you goals down on paper. There was an article I read once by this Harvard Professor who found that 97% of people who write their goals down on paper, reach them.

Also, your WHY is going to give you the drive and motivation you will need to accomplish your WHAT.

I'm excited to officially launch my Blog serving Work from home Moms throughout the US. Thank you for being part of the excitement. For those of you who found my squidoo lens http://www.squidoo.com/thebusinessmoms.com helpful, I offer this as a supplement to build on some of the principles I discussed on the lens.

By way of introduction, my name is Christine, a happy Mother of four children who is dedicated and determined to being both a successful a Mother and Business Woman. All of my children are under the age of 6 - Yes, you read that correctly. In my "spare time" between wiping dirty bottoms and organizing legos I run my own home business. I've been at it for about for two years this December.

If any of you can identify with my above bio, you've come to the right place. My purpose for establishing this blog is to give Moms the tools they need to manage their home and business lives together. Fifty percent of my advice will be based on my own experiences, and the other fifty percent will be based on my own God-given intuition.

Any Mom who works from home knows full well the struggles that come with managing both aspects of their lives. I need the support as much as any other gal out there. I need a group of gals to hold me accountable while encouraging and inspiring me to reach my goals of financial freedom and the joy that comes from raising your kids from home.

So what are we waiting for, let's get started.
